HOW TO INSTALL MP3 CODECS AT UBUNTU 7.10 GUTSY GIBBON

Someday, I try to play my favourite mp3 with rythmbox at Ubuntu 7.10, but it didn't work an d Rythmbox says that there is no available codecs for mp3 that currently installed. Then i downloaded the codecs from the internet, you also can download the codecs by click here. Here is the step to install the codecs :

1. Open the terminal, extract the file that have been downloaded from the internet

lambanx@fresh-idea$ tar jxf mp3ubuntu710.tar.bz2

lambanx@fresh-idea$ cd mp3ubuntu710

lambanx@fresh-idea$ sudo dpkg -i *

2. Enter your password

3. The Listen your favourite MP3 now !

NOTE : This is just about fix the problem at Rythmbox in Ubuntu 7.10, now there are a lot of distro that have been support MP3 playback like Linux Mint, Mandriva One 2008.1, Ubuntu 8.04, Ubuntu 8.10 an the other. But Should we unistalled the older distro just cause that's can't play mp3 files and Installed the new distro taht supported that? I think not if we still want to use Ubuntu 7.10.
